AMMAN — The cost of repairing damaged main water pipeline valves stands at around JD1,000 per month, according to the director of the Water Authority in the Northeastern Badia district, Marwan Turki, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday.
Turki said that an average of four violations are committed each month by unidentified perpetrators on the main water pipelines in order to divert the water to other areas. He noted that, as well as the financial cost of repairing each valve, which stands at JD250, the violations cause distribution of the water schedule and water access in some neighbourhoods.
