Eager Lion war games conclude

AMMAN — "Eager Lion 2016" exercise on concluded Tuesday, according to a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) statement.
The final joint training functions involving JAF and US forces were attended by King’s Military Adviser and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben, HRH Prince Feisal, Commander of the US Marine Corps Forces Central Command Lt. Gen. William Beydler and Commander of the US Army Central Lt. Gen. Michael Garrett.
The final day drills included strategic air raids implemented by the Royal Jordanian Air Force.
It lasted for eight hours, with participants exhibiting techniques to deal with traditional and untraditional threats through simulations where the joint Jordanian and US forces fought in the designated areas.
After the training, Zaben conveyed the greetings and congratulations of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of JAF to the army units on the occasion of the Independence Day, the Great Arab Revolt Centennial and the Army Day.
Some 6,000 soldiers from the US and JAF armies took part in the Eager Lion 2016, which began on May 15.
