Ensour calls for promoting tourism cooperation with Palestine

AMMAN — Jordan is committed to expanding cooperation with Palestine, especially in the tourism sector, Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour said Tuesday.
During a meeting with Palestinian Tourism Minister Rula Maaiah, the premier highlighted the importance of joint programmes that include religious, environment and therapeutic tourism.
Maaiah underscored the importance of activating joint religious and heritage-related tourism programmes.

The Tourism Ministry and its Palestinian counterpart signed an executive programme for tourist cooperation in 2014-17 on Monday in the presence of public and private sector representative from both countries.
Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and Palestinian officials on Monday discussed ways to promote religious tourism, and encourage visits to Islamic and Christian sites in the Palestinian territories and Jerusalem.
