AMMAN — Jordanian-Kuwaiti relations are a “model in pan-Arab ties”, where there is a joint vision for the future of the region, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Aziz Dihani said on Wednesday.

Speaking to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on the occasion of Kuwait’s national day, Dihani said that diplomatic ties between the two countries, which started in 1961, are based on respecting countries’ sovereignty and stability, and embarking on endeavours to reach international peace.

The ambassador said that both countries seek to increase trade exchange, which exceeded $280 million, noting that Kuwait is the top Arab investor in the Kingdom with an investment volume of some $18 billion.

The diplomat also said that there are more than 430 Kuwaiti companies registered at the Ministry of Industry and Trade and 77 Kuwaiti investors who practise businesses through the Amman Chamber of Commerce.
