Event marks launch of Jordanian Greek Business Association 

AMMAN — The official launch celebration of the Jordanian Greek Business Association (JGBA) took place in Amman on Tuesday.

In his presentation, chairman of the association Omar M.H. Aljazy  gave detailed information on the volume and type of bilateral commercial exchanges the association is expected to conduct. He expressed his strong wish that JGBA will efficiently contribute to their increase, according to a statement from the Greek embassy.

Greek Ambassador to Jordan Eleftheria Galathianaki praised the “excellent” political relations between the two countries and underlined the fact that the Jordanian and the Greek people have many similarities in their cultures.

However, she mentioned that trade exchanges and investments need a strong boost, and reiterated that the establishment of the JGBA was a positive and promising step forward.

The event was attended by numerous Jordanian and Greek prominent businesspeople as well as politicians, parliamentarians, representatives of chambers of commerce and industry and a number of diplomats.
