AMMAN — Lower House First Deputy Speaker Khamis Atiyeh on Monday announced that the House received a copy of the gas deal with Israel from the government, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In a press release, Atiyeh said that the copy will be referred to the House’s Energy and Mineral Resources Committee, which will discuss it with the concerned authorities.
The 15-year agreement was signed by the National Electric Power Company and with Noble Energy, a Houston-based company that holds the largest share in the Israeli Leviathan gas field.
