AMMAN — Head of the Lower House’s National Guidance and Media Committee MP Abdullah Obeidat said on Tuesday that media is a main partner for the House.
At a panel meeting attended by Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani and representatives of media outlets, Obeidat said the committee will soon hold workshops to enhance communication with journalists, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Praising Parliament’s openness to the media, Momani said it is unfair to generalise and accuse all journalists of taking up negative practices. The meeting was held to discuss the incident that took place last week, where the “Lower House attempted to restrict the work of journalists”.
