House speaker meets with heads of Palestinian camp committees

AMMAN — Jordan, despite pressures and challenges, has been supportive of Palestinians in the occupied territories, and has dedicated all efforts towards the Palestinian cause and defending Jerusalem through the Hashemite Custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites, Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi said. 

During a meeting with a delegation of heads of camp committees, attended by Director-General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs (DPA) Rafiq Khirfan, Safadi said that the Chamber, through the Palestine Parliamentary Committee, will follow up on the camp committees’ demands with the relevant bodies as soon as possible to ensure that their needs are met.

The delegation expressed appreciation of the Kingdom's defence of the Palestinian cause, mainly the rights of the refugees, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
