Industry ministry registers 4,419 new company trademarks

AMMAN — The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply on Sunday said that it had registered 4,419 new trademarks in the first 10 months of 2021, compared with 4,834 trademarks in the same period of 2020.

The ministry said that its industrial intellectual property department received 6,135 applications in the January-October period of 2021, compared with 5,111 applications in the corresponding period of 2020, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The number of patent renewal transactions increased from 402 in the first 10 months of 2020 to 532 transactions in the first 10 months of 2021.

Meanwhile, the ministry said that the department processed 5,908 e-services and 9,346 paper transactions in the January-October period of 2021.
