AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Faraya on Sunday instructed administrative governors to release 466 administrative detainees who are not involved in racketeering.
Their release comes after thoroughly reviewing their files to ensure that they will not pose a threat to themselves or to public security, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The move, which coincided with the anniversary of Al Israa wal Miraj, aims to provide them the opportunity to re-engage in society, Petra said.
