Interior minister meets Egyptian counterpart in Cairo

AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad and his Egyptian counterpart Mahmoud Tawfiq met in Cairo on Sunday to discuss means to enhance bilateral cooperation, mainly at the security and police levels.
Talks also covered latest regional developments and their repercussions on Amman and Cairo, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hammad said that the visit aims at enhancing cooperation and boosting communication on exchanging information and expertise. Hammad added that activating the joint Arab action and facilitating channels of communication and consultation among Arab countries contributes to reaching solutions to security, political and economic challenges.
For his part, Tawfiq stressed his ministry's keenness to expand cooperation with its Jordanian counterpart through enhancing the exchange of expertise and information.
