Interior minister pays unannounced visit to CSPD branch

AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Wednesday paid an unannounced visit to the Civil Status and Passport Department (CSPD) in west Amman to check on the progress of work and quality of services, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hammad was briefed on the volume of work performed at the branch and its readiness to issue smart ID cards, which are expected to be available from Sunday, Petra reported.
The interior minister met with people at the branch and listened to their opinions on the services provided. He also talked with employees and listened to their demands.
Hammad said 350 new employees would be transferred to the branch from various ministries and institutions, in light of the facility’s expanding workload.
