JAF foils attempt to smuggle 678,000 Captagon pills from Syria

AMMAN — Troops in the Eastern Military Zone early in the morning on Tuesday foiled infiltration and smuggling attempts into the Kingdom from Syria, according to an official military source in the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF).
The source said that the army personnel applied the rules of engagement, leading to the retreat of smugglers into Syria, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Searching the area, army personnel found 678,000 Captagon pills, which were referred to the concerned authorities.
The source added that the army will apply “full force” to thwart any infiltration or smuggling attempts, protecting the Kingdom’s borders and citizens.
