AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Tuesday discussed bilateral cooperation in security and political fields with Canadian National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister Daniel Jean and an accompanying delegation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Hammad and Jean focused on the Syrian crisis and its repercussions on the local, regional and international levels.

The interior minister said Jordan is hosting “a large number” of refugees highlighting the services it provides to them and urging the international community and donor organisations to shoulder their responsibilities.

The Canadian official voiced his country’s interest in achieving peace in the region and supporting the Kingdom.
