Jordan praises Algeria for non-permanent membership at United Nations Security Council

AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates conveyed sincere congratulations to the government, and the people of Algeria on its non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council for the term 2024-2025. Ministry's Spokesperson Sufian Qudah emphasised that Algeria's position reflects its prestigious status on the international stage, diplomatic excellence, and diligent efforts in supporting global security, peace, humanitarian programmes, and development worldwide, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Qudah stressed the Kingdom's support for Algeria in their international responsibilities, contributing to serving common Arab causes and interests, preserving stability, and international security. Qudah also expressed the Kingdom's appreciation for the efforts of the United Arab Emirates during its two-year membership in the Security Council, serving Arab issues and the Palestinian cause in particular.
