AMMAN — Israeli occupation's bombing of the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza reflects a sense of confusion and anger over Jordan's firm stance on the Palestinian cause, Head of the Jordanian-Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Association Suleiman Abu Yahya said on Thursday.
Speaking during a meeting with the Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Okuyama Jiro Abu Yahya regarded the ongoing events in the occupied Gaza Strip as a war crime perpetrated by the Israeli occupation taking place in full view of the world with limited international response.
The MP reiterated full support for His Majesty King Abdullah's efforts to stop the aggression in Gaza and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to its residents, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Members of the parliamentary association called for a political solution to the Palestinian cause, emphasising the need for the establishment of a two-state solution in line with international legitimacy and respect for international agreements to ensure peace and regional stability.
The Japanese diplomat affirmed his country's continued support for the Gaza Strip. Discussions also revolved around bolstering Jordanian-Japanese bilateral relations in various fields.
