AMMAN — Jordan’s mobile bakery, sent to the Gaza Strip in response to Royal directives, has been operating alongside World Central Kitchen for nearly a week, providing vital bread supplies to hospitals and residents in the region.
Jordan dispatched the mobile bakery with a high production capacity of up to 3,500 loaves of bread per hour on December 24 according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation said that the bread is being distributed to the inhabitants of the Strip in a number of locations by World Central Kitchen cadres operating in Gaza.
The mobile bakery is part of Jordan's ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian, relief and medical aid to Gaza through all means possible, by land and air.
The World Central Kitchen is a global non-governmental organization that helps those affected by disasters and conflicts by providing food supplies and meals.
