King condoles family of journalist Abu Akleh, condemns crime against her

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday extended condolences to the family of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, in a phone call with her brother, Anton Abu Akleh, condemning the crime committed against her while covering the Israeli raid of Jenin camp.
King Abdullah extended condolences to Abu Akleh’s family and fellow journalists, denouncing the crime as a violation of international humanitarian law and freedom of the press, according to a Royal Court statement.
His Majesty paid tribute to Abu Akleh’s professionalism and her distinguished, courageous coverage of developments in the occupied Palestinian Territories and the plight of the Palestinian people.
