King congratulates Sultan Haitham on induction as Sultan of Oman

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah has sent a cable to Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq Bin Taimour, expressing congratulations on his induction as Sultan of Oman. In the cable, King Abdullah expressed Jordan’s keenness to continue strengthening the distinguished, deep-rooted ties between the two countries and peoples, while advancing cooperation in all areas, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty voiced confidence that Sultan Haitham will continue on the path of prosperity and progress for Oman and its people, and the service of Arab and Islamic causes, building on the legacy of the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.

The King wished Sultan Haitham good health and the people of Oman further progress and prosperity, stressing Jordan’s commitment to maintaining coordination on issues of mutual concern, the statement said.
