King to join global leaders at Sun Valley forum

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and Her Majesty Queen Rania will join leaders from around the world on Wednesday and Thursday taking part in an economic forum hosted in Sun Valley, Idaho, in the US, a Royal Court statement said.
Their participation, with the presence of international and US economic, political and media leaders, comes as part of His Majesty’s continuous endeavours to introduce the world to investment opportunities available in Jordan.
The annual forum, in which the King has participated for several years, discusses affairs and challenges in the international economy and politics, according to Petra News Agency.
On the sidelines of the forum, King Abdullah will hold several meetings with chairpersons and representatives of leading international and US companies, focusing on enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom and these global companies.
The King and Queen will also join a panel discussion on the situation in the Middle East and its repercussions on Jordan, as well as efforts to reach political solutions to the region’s crises.
According to the forum’s online literature, speakers will focus on “critical leverage points, including shifting capital to invest for impact, corporate strategy, community well-being, public engagement and communication, as well as sector-specific sessions on food, energy, water, natural system restoration and health.
