AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday met with Polish President Andrzej Duda, in New York.

Held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings and attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, the meeting covered means of enhancing economic and defence cooperation, in addition to the latest regional and international developments, according to a Royal Court statement.

King Abdullah highlighted the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in energy, transportation, water and food security, especially in light of the repercussions of the crisis in Ukraine.

His Majesty called for supporting efforts to reach just and comprehensive peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis, on the basis of the two-state solution, lauding Poland’s position in this regard.

The two sides stressed the need to maintain efforts to counter terrorism within a holistic approach.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan attended the meeting.
