AMMAN — The  Lower House and King Abdullah II Development Fund (KAFD) on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding to train 50 young men and women from all governorates under the framework of the 4th parliamentary internship project.

The memorandum, signed by Awad Ghwairi, secretary-general of the Lower House and KAFD Director Mazen Tabbalat, seeks to train young leaders and change-makers, raising awareness of the monitoring and legislating roles of the House and increasing the youth participation in the public sphere, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The participants will be given a hands-on training opportunity as research aides for the MPs by doing research and gathering data on the draft laws or issues in deliberation at the Lower House.
