Malaysian embassy provides assistance to 1,400 families in Zarqa camps

AMMAN — The Malaysian embassy on Sunday provided aid to 1,400 families in Palestinian refugee camps in Zarqa during a visit by Malaysian Ambassador Mohammed Nasri Abdul Rahman to Hittin Camp.

Director General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs (DPA) Rafiq Khirfan praised Malaysia's humanitarian efforts, stressing that this initiative further boosts the long-standing relations between Jordan and Malaysia, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

Khirfan highlighted Malaysia's continued support for UNRWA, noting that the agency, in cooperation with the government, focuses on improving the living conditions of the 70,000 Palestine refugees in 13 camps across the Kingdom.

The envoy expressed his appreciation for the role of the DPA in organising the aid distribution, reiterating Malaysia's solidarity with the Palestinian people and refugees.
