Media, health ministers meet with Jordan-Russia business council official

AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh on Wednesday reaffirmed the Kingdom's keenness to further Jordanian-Russian relations in various fields, mainly in the economic and business sectors.
During a meeting with Vice President of the Jordanian-Russian Business Council Valery Kononenko, the minister underlined the importance of the partnership between two countries' private sectors to serve common interests.
Talks also covered means of enhancing tourism cooperation and attracting Russian tourists to visit the Kingdom's tourist destinations, especially the Russian pilgrims' centre at the Baptism Site, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
For his part, Kononenko expressed pride in the level of cooperation between the council's representatives and the business communities in both countries, stressing keenness to further cooperation, especially in the productive and investment sectors, among others.
Also on Wednesday, Minister of Health Saad Jaber met Kononenko over health cooperation and enhancing cancer early detection programmes, according to a ministry statement.
