AMMAN — The Water Ministry on Wednesday urged the public to be aware of thieves posing as water inspectors to gain entry into houses, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Ministry Secretary General Tawfiq Habashneh said the fake water inspectors, who claim to be checking water quality but return later to steal from houses, are not related to the ministry.
Habashneh urged the public to report the impersonators to the ministry’s operations centre or to police. Some of the fake inspectors are not Jordanian, he added.
