Prince Mired welcomes Jordanian Special Olympics team

AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, the chief chamberlain and the president of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, on Monday welcomed the Jordanian Special Olympics team at Queen Alia International Airport. The team returned from Berlin after participating in the 2023 Special Olympics World Summer Games.
The Jordanian players showed a remarkable performance at the Olympics which featured the participation of approximately 7,000 athletes representing 186 countries, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. Prince Mired, who personally attended some of the Berlin-held competitions last week, expressed his appreciation for the achievements of the Jordanian Special Olympics champions, as their efforts were recognised with a collection of 20 medals, including seven gold, three silver and 10 bronze.
