Princess Alia inaugurates environmental conference

AMMAN — HRH Princess Alia on Sunday inaugurated a regional environment conference. At the conference, attended by Environment Minister Taher Shakhshir, the princess highlighted the importance of joint efforts to protect the environment, noting that it is the responsibility of all world countries.
Participants at the conference — organised by the Royal Department for Environmental Protection, in cooperation with the Environment Ministry, German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and the Interpol’s Environmental Security Unit — are discussing several issues related to environment conservation.
