Princess Basma inaugurates women’s empowerment centre

AMMAN — HRH Princess Basma on Monday inaugurated a women’s empowerment centre in Ashrafieh, affiliated with the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA), which was established with the support of the Australian embassy in Amman.
Princess Basma listened to a presentation by YWCA President Reem Najjar on the centre’s programmes and projects, which include workshops on psychological support, peace building, family violence and economic empowerment for women, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Najjar added that the centre seeks to provide women with jobs to enhance their roles in society.
