PSD receives advanced equipment from Germany

AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Monday received advanced machinery and equipment from Germany. PSD Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh, during a ceremony to hand over the equipment at the Women’s Police Department, said that the equipment are delivered under the framework of cooperation between Jordan and Germany, expressing appreciation of the German government’s support to PSD’ efforts in fighting crime.
German Ambassador to Jordan Bernhard Kampmann highlighted the “deep-rooted” bilateral ties, voicing the German government’s keenness to further raise the level of cooperation with the PSD.
The diplomat also praised the “distinguished” level that the PSD has reached in tackling crime, in addition to offering security and humanitarian services according to the highest international standards.
