Royal directives: Royal Jordanian Air Force team dispatched to fight wildfires in Greece

AMMAN — Upon Royal directives, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen.Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday instructed dispatching an MI26 helicopter, including a 16-member crew from the Royal Jordanian Air Force, to Greece to join the Greek authorities in extinguishing wildfires, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Evangelos Tournas expressed thanks to the crew in an event honouring their efforts.
Chargé d'Affaires at the Jordanian embassy in Greece Issa Hijazin praised the distinguished level of Greek-Jordanian relations and the two countries' constant readiness to provide mutual assistance in emergency situations.
