AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez said that His Majesty King Abdullah, since the first day of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, has made wide international movements to halt the attacks on the Palestinian people.

In press remarks, Fayez added that His Majesty had met with several Arab and European leaders and urged them to immediately stop this aggression and the war crimes that Israel perpetrates against the Palestinians, and ensure the delivery of medical and relief aid to Gaza, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He added that Jordan looks at the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as one unit and as occupied Palestinian territories, stressing that the Kingdom is the closest to Palestine and its cause.

The president reiterated that the Kingdom enjoys a clear, strong and firm discourse towards the importance of halting the Israeli aggression.

Fayez added that Jordan will take all procedures against the Israeli escalation and crimes to ensure reaching a just solution to the Palestinian issue.

He also said that King Abdullah has warned against the risks and repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression, especially if the war on Gaza spread to the region.

The president also referred to Her Majesty Queen Rania’s interview with CNN, where Queen Rania highlighted the dangerous situation and the suffering of the Palestinian people, which started in 1948 and later in 1967 when the West Bank was occupied.

He expressed confidence in national media outlets in conveying the unaltered Jordanian stance towards the Palestinian people and their rights.

Fayez called on the international community to stop its policy that is biased to Israel and to immediately intervene to halt Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
