Senate president meets Iraqi delegation

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Sunday met with an Iraqi delegation representing Ammar Al Hakim’s National Wisdom Movement, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. During the meeting, Fayez underlined the deep-rooted relations between Jordan and Iraq, and the two counties keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation.
Fayez also referred to the importance of His Majesty King Abdullah’s recent visit to Iraq in regards to developing relations at various tiers.
He added that national parties interact on all issues and levels between the two countries as well as the Arab peoples. They also discussed the threats facing the region and efforts to boost pan-Arab relations to end the regional crises.
Salah Arabawi, a member of the movement, said that enhancing Jordanian-Iraqi ties forms the base for an economic balance at the regional level.
