Three dead, five injured in Irbid house fire

AMMAN — Three people died and five were injured in a fire in a house in Irbid’s Bani Kenanah on Friday, a Civil Defence Department (CDD) statement said.
CDD personnel arrived at the one-storey house, extinguished the fire to prevent it from spreading to neighbouring buildings and transferred the eight injured to Yarmouk Hospital.
Three of them were announced dead and five were reported to be in a fair to medium condition. The Criminal Investigation Department initiated an investigation to identify the cause of the fire.
