Working hours to start 10am at public agencies, banks; schools off

AMMAN — Work at public institutions and departments will be delayed from 8am to 10am on Sunday due to the prevailing weather conditions, according to a communiqué issued by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour.
The Central Bank of Jordan and all operating banks will also begin work at 10am on Sunday, CBJ Governor Ziad Fariz said on Saturday.
On the other hand, public and private schools will observe a holiday on Sunday as announced by Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat.
In view of the aftermath of the blizzard, several universities decided to delay or suspend classes on Sunday.
The German-Jordanian University and Balqa Applied University will suspend their classes on Sunday, while classes at the University of Jordan, Al Isra University, Amman Arab University and the Middle East University will start at 10am.
Meanwhile, the Jordan Medical Board decided to reschedule or delay some of the board exams.
The dermatology and venereology exam, which was slated to be held on Sunday, will be postponed to Tuesday, while the forensic, family medicine and kidney diseases exams will be held on Sunday at 1pm instead of 11am.
