AMMAN  — The Permanent Mission of Jordan to the United Nations Office at Geneva, on behalf of the Arab Group participating in the World Health Assembly, on Wednesday submitted a draft decision on item 20, which is related to the health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, and in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.  Health Minister Feras Al Hawari delivered the Arab Group speech that included the draft decision.

The majority of countries voted in favour of the resolution, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The Arab Group, in the speech, welcomed the report of the General Director of the World Health Organisation on the health conditions in the occupied Arab territories, which included several recommendations.

The speech also drew attention to the need of providing Palestine access to vaccines, including compulsory triple infant vaccine and COVID-19.
