United against displacement – Standing with you, King Abdullah

In light of the ongoing conflicts and tensions sweeping the Middle East, the issue of displacement emerges as one of the most prominent challenges facing peoples and nations. In Jordan, the people demonstrate their steadfast support for the policies pursued by His Majesty King Abdullah and his loyal Crown Prince, in their categorical rejection of any form of forced displacement and their call for a two-state solution as a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah, has clearly expressed its position rejecting displacement in all its forms, warning of the repercussions of these policies on the stability and peace of the region. This position is not just a circumstantial reaction, but rather the result of a wise foreign policy and a strategic vision aimed at enhancing security and peace in the Middle East. 

Jordan, which hosts millions of refugees, realises the heavy burden that could result from any new displacement operations and stresses the need to find permanent solutions that guarantee coexistence and regional stability. In addition, Jordan seeks to achieve balance in international relations and acts as an effective mediator in negotiations aimed at achieving peace, emphasising its firm position in supporting the rights of peoples and preserving their dignity, which contributes to building bridges of trust with all concerned parties. 

King Abdullah’s call for a two-state solution reflects his deep awareness that a just and comprehensive peace is the only way to ensuring stability and development in the region. This solution stipulates the establishment of an independent Palestinian state living side by side with Israel in peace and security, with East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine.

Jordan, by strongly supporting this solution, demonstrates its commitment to international principles and the basic rights of peoples to self-determination and to live in dignity. Through this position, Jordan seeks to activate its role as an influential force in the Middle East, defending rights and emphasising the importance of dialogue and understanding among all. Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah, continues to work to promote this vision in various international forums, considering that sustainable peace is the basis for any progress and prosperity in the future. The Jordanian people, from all walks of life, stand behind their wise leadership, expressing their full support for the policies adopted by the Jordanian leadership in rejecting displacement and seeking a two-state solution. 

This popular support is clearly evident in the demonstrations and gatherings organized throughout the Kingdom, where citizens raise slogans calling for justice and rejecting any attempts at forced displacement. Not only that, but the support extends to include representatives, public figures and religious institutions, who work side by side with the leadership to spread awareness of the importance of peace and peaceful coexistence. 

These joint efforts demonstrate the Jordanian people’s solidarity with their leadership, emphasising the effective role that popular support can play in supporting just and fateful causes at the national and international levels. In addition, Jordan continues its role as a facilitator of constructive dialogues between various parties, leveraging its good relations on the international scene to gather support for the two-state solution.

Jordanian efforts are not limited to foreign policies, but also include tireless work to achieve economic and social development within the country that enables it to absorb the humanitarian and economic impact of any future developments.

Finally, Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah and Crown Prince Hussein, is a model to be emulated in the pursuit of peace and justice in the Middle East. This position is not just a political vision, but rather a reflection of a deep popular will that believes that a just and sustainable peace is the foundation for a prosperous and stable future.

The broad popular support for these policies demonstrates Jordanians’ commitment to the principles of justice and peaceful coexistence, with a firm rejection of any form of forced displacement.
