Jordan, Palestine agree to closer agricultural cooperation

RAMALLAH — Agriculture Minister Akef Zu’bi and his Palestinian counterpart Shawqi Aissa on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance agricultural cooperation.
Zu’bi said the agreement focuses on plant production, forests, animal livestock, veterinarian services, agricultural marketing and scientific research.
Aissa called for expanding product exchange, opening markets for Palestinian produce and exchanging agricultural expertise.
