4,000 institutions shut down for violating defence order so far — Trade Ministry

AMMAN — About 4,000 institutions have been closed since last March, the beginning of the lockdown, in violation of the COVID-19 preventive measures and Defence Order No.11, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply said on Thursday.
The ministry, in a statement carried by the Jordan News, Agency, Petra, said that joint inspection committees have toured more than 170,000 institutions across the Kingdom, adding that the ministry's field inspectors issued 7,624 tickets during the aforementioned period.
Also, a total of 740 persons were fined across the Kingdom in violation of Defence Order No.11, Petra added
