AMMAN — Twenty-eight institutions on Tuesday were shut down by inspection teams from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply for violating Defence Order No. 11.

The inspection teams also issued 45 tickets to shops and institutions, in addition to 22 people who failed to abide by public safety measures and the defence order.

Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Tareq Hammouri, in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that the ministry has intensified the inspection campaign since last Saturday to ensure the implementation of Defence Order No.11, which came into force on Saturday, obligating people to wearing face masks and gloves while in public.
