AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel, in cooperation with the Border Guards, have seized 80,000 narcotic pills that had been hidden in a rocky area near the northern border, the Public Security Department (PSD) said on Monday.
AND agents received a tip-off about unnamed individuals who had hidden the drugs in the area, and informed the Border Guards, who conducted a search and found the narcotics, according to a PSD statement. The seized narcotics were handed over to AND and an investigation is under way.
