Interior minister meets new police chief

AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Faraya and Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obaidallah Maaytah on Tuesday met over security and regulation related issues.
During a visit to the PSD, Faraya commended the ongoing coordination between the ministry and the PSD to maintain the Kingdom's security and stability, and achieve the rule of law with no discrimination, highlighting the importance of integrating public services.
Faraya also congratulated Maaytah on assuming office as PSD director, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Maaytah expressed the directorate's keenness to continue developing and modernising its units and formations, as well as increase the efficiency of personnel to provide best services.
He also said that the PSD will maintain integrated partnerships with all ministries and institutions, especially the Ministry of Interior, to achieve the national goals.
