JEA opens ‘fazeet ahl’ housing restoration campaign

AMMAN — The Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) on Wednesday launched open radio broadcasts of the campaign “fazeet ahl” meant to restore houses of underprivileged families in Jordan, via the “Hayat FM” Radio.
JEA President Ahmad Samara called on the local community, institutions and companies across the Kingdom to contribute to the campaign in light of the upcoming winter season.
A JEA member, Mutaz Shawareb, head of the Management Committee of the Social Responsibility Fund, said that the fund is implementing this campaign for the sixth year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Over the previous years, the campaign renovated 80 houses in various governorates of the Kingdom, worth JD240,000, and the approximate cost of restoring each house ranged between JD3,000 and JD6,000, Shawareb noted.
He also called on those wishing to donate to contact Hayat FM via 065164020 - 065165020 - 065162060, or to visit the tent sitting opposite the association’s headquarters, as well as in all branches of the association in the governorates.
