AMMAN — Interior Minister Hussein Majali on Tuesday met with Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders in Amsterdam as part of a series of meetings a high-ranking official delegation to the Netherlands is scheduled to hold with Dutch counterparts to look at European expertise in decentralisation practices.

During the meeting, Majali said the government has drafted the decentralisation law with the aim of engaging all segments of society in decision making.

He also highlighted the role of the International Agency for Municipal Unions and Local Authorities in building future partnerships with Jordan to help implement its decentralisation plans.

The minister briefed Koenders on the impact of the Syrian refugee crisis on Jordan.
