Ministers briefed on Dutch decentralisation experience

AMMAN — Interior Minister Hussein Majali on Wednesday met with his Dutch counterpart Ronald Plasterk and discussed issues related to local governance and decentralisation.
The meeting, attended by Minister of Municipal Affairs Walid Masri, also tackled ways for the Kingdom to benefit from Dutch experience in decentralisation.
The Jordanian delegation’s visit to the Netherlands is aimed at getting a firsthand look at the Dutch and European experiment in decentralisation.
In a separate meeting with Dutch Minister of Security and Justice Ivo Opstelten, Majali discussed ways to develop security and counter terrorism cooperation.
