Royal directives: Jordan Media Institute announces scholarship in honour of Abu Akleh

AMMAN — As per Royal directives, the Jordan Media Institute (JMI) on Sunday announced the launch of the Shireen Abu Akleh annual scholarship for women from Palestine to obtain master's degrees in journalism and media studies, at the expense of His Majesty King Abdullah.
The Royal gesture came to honour the memory of the iconic reporter Abu Akleh, “a brave voice echoing Palestinian suffering”, the JMI said, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
