Seven Jordanians featured in Forbes’ 2020 Middle East 100 Power Businesswomen list

AMMAN — Seven Jordanian women have been featured in Forbes’ annual 100 Power Businesswomen in the Middle East 2020 list.

Published ahead of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated on March 8, the list aims to showcase 100 "exceptional" businesswomen leading some of the most powerful and transformational companies in the region, according to Forbes Middle East’s official website.

In the 2020 list, there are 22 new entries and 23 nationalities across 28 sectors. Among the Jordanian women featured in the list is Deputy CEO of Arab Bank Randa Sadik in 21st place, Founder and CEO of INGOT Group Iman Mutlaq in 30th place and Etihad Bank CEO Nadia Al Saeed in 50th place. Four other Jordanian women also made the list, coming in 54th, 65th, 77th and 99th. 

Emirati businesswomen represented the most prominent nationality in the list at 23 entries, with the Emirates' Raja Easa Al Gurg, managing director of the Easa Saleh Group, topping the list. 

“These Arab women are not only driving economic growth in the region, but they are also representatives of the Middle East’s strong female leadership and influence across all areas of life, from e-commerce to financial services,” Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Middle East Khuloud Al Oman said on the website.

According to Forbes Middle East, the list was put together based on nominations and extensive research following criteria such as the size of the business and the women's accomplishments and work experience.
