NORTHEASTERN BADIA — Water has been stolen from two pipelines that feed Qasem town and the areas of Um Hussein and Ireinbeh in the Northeastern Badia, the district’s water department director, Marwan Turki said on Sunday.
Department personnel discovered the thefts during their inspection tours and reported the incident to security bodies and the district mayor to pursue legal action and find the perpetrators.
Recurrent water pipeline and pump thefts lead to disruptions in water distribution to subscribers, Turki pointed out.
