AMMAN — The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN), in cooperation with the US Department of the Interior’s Environment Department, on Wednesday organised a workshop on the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), according to an RSCN statement.

The event, part of a US-funded programme to develop the implementation of the CITES, witnessed the participation of representatives from the Agriculture Ministry, the Jordan Customs Department, the Royal Department for Environment Protection (Rangers), Al Mawa Reserve and inspectors from the RSCN.

Specialists from CITES and the US delivered lectures related to the agreement, including guidelines to implement the deal and the challenges it faces.
